Air Traffic Management Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
Systems engineering work in support of a major FAA Air Traffic Management system modernization program. Technical consulting and system oversight. Conducting system-requirements analysis, development, review and management; developing concepts of operations and system architectures; evaluating system architecture and design; identifying and evaluating system-level technical risks; participating in system –level reviews, technical interchanges and related activities; reviewing system engineering and design artifacts.
Skills and Requirements:
§ At least 6 years experience as a systems engineer with development experience on large software intensive systems or software modernization/legacy system migration projects
§ Practical experience in conducting, designing and maintaining the entire software engineering process from requirements gathering to customer support
§ In depth experience with any subprocess of the entire software engineering lifecycle (ie. Release to ops, new features/new product release, software architecture/design)
§ Hands-on system development skills
§ Hands-on datatbase, web and standalone application development skills
§ J2EE, Oracle, Object Oriented software development practices
§ Strong analytical skills
§ Strong verbal and personal presentation skills
§ Team player
