Brain Tumor Society (BTS) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Watertown, Massachusetts. BTS funds carefully-selected research and provides supportive services to patients, survivors and caregivers. More information is available at

BTS seeks a contractor for part-time assistance to the Director of Communications. This position will last for 3 to 4 months, with the possibility of expanded hours and/or continued employment.
The Communications Project Assistant will take on both daily operations and special projects. Administrative support to include mailing/contact list maintenance, correspondence, website content updates and other general functions. A variety of special projects may include Powerpoint presentations, publications assistance, media relations/outreach, and event preparation.
Desired qualifications:
- Interest in nonprofit communications
- Strong writing, communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with basic office software, including Powerpoint
- Quark XPress, Photoshop and/or web design a plus
BTS is located just outside of Watertown Square is easily accessible by car and from several MBTA bus routes.
Contractor compensation: $18-22 per hour
