Essential duties and responsibilities
include:
•Development and support of system level software including
I/O functions and device drivers for a high performance, mission critical
application.
•Develops and enhances the I/O layer, language, and middleware
facilities of the Money Transfer System (MTS).
•Enhances and supports our
proprietary object store, with particular emphasis on making it easily portable
to multiple UNIX platforms.
•Works with management, other developers, and
customers to define and implement timely solutions to meet customer needs and
strategic goals. 
•Implements custom software for customers.

•Develops new functions, products, and in-house software tools.

•Prepares functional specifications, task descriptions, and estimates for
proposed software changes.
•Tests developed components and consults with the
testing department to devise testing approaches for environmental software.

Minimum Requirements Needed:
•BS in Computer Science or
related field or equivalent experience required.
•4+ years systems
programming experience required.
•Database internals and device driver
programming experience highly desired.
•Prior knowledge of UNIX system
services required, AIX is a plus.
•Experience and understanding of the
special requirement of writing platform dependent code required.
•Understand
design and implementation considerations unique to database and UIMS development
required.
•Experience with PERL and the BASH/Bourn shell are a plus.

•Experience writing programs in C, Java, and shell scripting languages
required.
•Experience with large scale, highly integrated OLTP financial
applications highly desired.
