River Logic, Inc. Intern







Job Description:



The intern will work under direct supervision, contributing to and working on a software development project as well as providing IT support to a small office staff of about 10 people. The work environment is a challenging, fast-paced, and fun team atmosphere.



We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist small software company with our many day-to-day computer-based operations. The intern should be capable of independent work, eager and motivated to learn new skills, and should quickly contribute to challenging projects.



Tasks will include testing, bug tracking, test plan writing, helpdesk support, relational database administration and project development on a variety of product lines. The intern will participate in a variety of meetings and activities designed to expose the individual to the challenges of real-world software engineering, as well as a variety of personalities currently working in their field of study. The intern will be working side-by-side with PhD’s and veteran software engineers on a daily basis.



While a full-time position after the internship is not offered nor implied, River Logic has a strong track record of retaining talented interns in a full-time capacity after degree completion.







This position is diverse and will be challenging. Being a small company we are able to offer a variety of tasks that will require the ability to think on your feet and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.







Education:

Must be working toward a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.







Required Skills:



Windows system mastery

Hardware/Software Installation experience







Desired Skills:



Experience with testing software applications/writing test plans/documenting bugs



Oracle DB Admin experience



Website Admin experience



Email Server Admin experience











Location: Beverly, Massachusetts



Position Start: September 4, 2007



Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours
