Advanced PHP Programmer Wanted

Are you an experienced web database programmer looking for a place to put your skills to good use? We're a small, fun, hard-working bunch looking for a PHP programmer to join our ranks.



We would prefer this to be a permanent, full-time position, although we are open to working with subcontractors. You’ll have the opportunity to work with great clients in a relaxed work environment where your contribution will be appreciated. And you’ll get to work with other “Gravity Switchers” who excel at what they do.

Core Requirements:



Enjoy figuring out technology problems

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with PHP and MySQL

Working knowledge of CSS

Experience working with other people’s code base as well as creating your own code from scratch

At least 3 or 4 complex web applications under your belt

Solid understanding of data structures and programming theory

Very good verbal and written communication skills

Detail oriented

Able to handle multiple projects at the same time with aggressive deadlines



Plusses (though not required) include:



Familiarity with design specifications a plus

Familiarity with any of the following a plus: Cold Fusion, .ASP, Lingo, Action Scripting, SEO

HTML and CSS proficiency

Able to work on-site at Gravity Switch in Northampton, MA during 9 – 5 business hours

A love and appreciation for the Simpsons
