Inside Sales Associate
Accela Communications, a leading provider of web-based marketing solutions, has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Associate who will be based in our Southborough, MA headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to and qualifying inbound inquiries/leads, and for prospecting for new business. Your focus will be on prospecting for and supporting sales efforts for our AccelaCast On-demand Rich Media platform (
www.accelacast.com) and an associated suite of professional services. You will work closely with, and set meetings for, our team of District Sales Managers to assist in moving sales opportunities through the qualification pipeline.
To be successful in this role, flexibility, a dedication to "service excellence", a "can-do" attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for sales are essential. The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in sales/sales environment. Proficiency with MS Office applications, and a strong understanding of the Internet required.
Job Duties
· Management of lead assignment processes between Marketing & Sales and our Salesforce.com CRM system
· Qualification of inbound leads by analyzing prospect needs and presenting appropriate products and services for consideration
· Prospect for new leads from a range of sources
· Set phone and in-person meetings with qualified prospects for the District Sales Managers
· Handle a range of account service duties such as program reporting and data tracking
· Organize collateral for sales calls
Job Requirements
· At least 2-3 years prior progressive sales related experience
· Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
· High aptitude for Internet/Web services both as a user, and understanding Business-to-Business use of the Internet/Web
· Prior experience selling rich media, online video or webcast and/or software solutions a plus
· Strong analytical competencies as illustrated by the ability to clearly articulate business value to decision makers in multiple B2B market segments
· Thorough follow-up skills via phone and email
· Ability to leverage sales force automation tools to monitor and follow through on leads
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
· Experience with Lotus Notes and Salesforce.com a plus
