Jobs Duties



The senior simulation engineer is responsible for creating simulation applications using MAK’s tools and toolkits; developing requirements for and creating functionality to enhance the tools; training client organizations in use of the toolkit APIs; and participating in architecture definitions for upcoming systems both internally and with our clients.



Qualifications:

* BS CS / EE (or equivalent) with 8+ years experience

* Strong OOD / OOP software development background

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proven client-facing skills

* Experience working with and for large organizations, especially in the areas of system design, architecture, and engineering

* Experience leading small to medium-sized technical projects

* A self-starter capable of working autonomously

* Ability to obtain a Secret clearance



Strongly desired:

* Experience implementing and integrating DIS / HLA based simulation systems

* Current or recent Secret clearance.



Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

* Networking

* TENA

* C4I system development

* Real-time simulation

* Military simulation-based training systems

* 3D graphics

* Reusable class framework implementation

* Physical modeling

* GUI development

* Applied artificial intelligence



This position requires up to 50% travel, both domestically and internationally, although primary work location will be in the Cambridge, MA.
