We are the home office of an independent broker dealer located in Boston’s Financial District.

We are looking for a full time administrative assistant to help the firm’s general counsel in dealing with various legal matters. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
* Coordinate the gathering of information from various departments in the preparation of contracts and other legal documents; review certain contracts and other legal documents to ensure necessary provisions are contained therein
* Coordinate the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports and evidence which is necessary to respond to legal and regulatory initiatives
* Digest and summarizing depositions and other legal documents
* Perform cite checking and legal research both manually and through use of electronic resources
* Administrative support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of general legal terminology and legal principles
* Ability to perform legal research using reference materials generally available within a law library and/or electronic resource
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others
* Exceptional ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
* Ability to organize and prioritize workload
* Ability to use and knowledge of modern office equipment, including MS Word software
* Excellent typing skills to supplement administrative support
Minimum Requirements:
Any one of the following:
* A certificate of completion or a degree from an approved paralegal program or post-secondary institution.
* A baccalaureate degree, combined with a minimum of one year of law-related experience under the supervision of a qualified attorney; or
* A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, combined with a minimum of three years of law-related experience under the supervision of a qualified attorney
