This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced, growing internet startup based in Waltham MA. We are looking for a well-rounded mid-level graphic designer with 3-5 years of solid experience to join our growing in-house creative department. The position is primarily web focused, but some print skills are desired. This is a temporary to possible permanent position.
Responsibilities:
* Work with Creative Director on a daily basis to support company-wide web and print design needs.
* Design web page comps, online direct response campaigns, email comps, and graphics to support Marketing initiatives.
* Design posters, fliers, postcards, offline direct response collateral, and promotional items.
* Work closely with our Tech Department on a per project basis to ensure cut graphics and comps are substantial/complete.
* Help maintain creative libraries for photography (includes image searching and purchasing), logos, and templates.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years professional web design experience
* 1 year print experience
* Experience with web usability, IA, web page layout
* Direct response marketing experience highly desired (email design, banner ad development, direct marketing)
* Expert Photoshop and Illustrator skills
* Experience with InDesign, Acrobat Professional
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint
* Great design aesthetic and composition skills
* Easy-to-work with personality; ability to be flexible with daily requests. Ability to make iterative design changes based on team feedback.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize workload
* Excellent communication skills and ability to offer input and feedback in project meetings—must see the “larger picture.”
* Flash skills a plus
