Professional to join Boston-based team responsible for legal support of certain of the mutual funds providing investment vehicles to the MetLife enterprise variable insurance products.
Major Duties and Functions Include:
This position will involve working with the full range of SEC filings one or more large series investment companies.
This position involves working with several attorneys and other legal assistants on Board of Directors meeting materials and on other aspects of mutual fund Investment Company Act of 1940 regulation and SEC filings, such as registration statements and prospectuses, proxy statements, annual reports and sales literature.
The position will also involve work related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, including assisting with Form ADV and other SEC filings.
What You Need to Succeed:
College degree required and paralegal certificate preferred.
2+ years mutual fund-specific legal assistant experience required.
Excellent verbal, grammatical, drafting and proofreading skills.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Strong knowledge of investment company regulation.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent computer skills including use of Word and Excel.
Successful candidate must be team-oriented. Frequent overtime is required.
