Boston Toynbee Inc. (BTI) is a local branch of Korea Toynbee Co., Ltd, (KTC), one of the leading overseas educational consulting companies in Korea with over 15 years of history. The main business of Boston Toynbee Inc. is school placement, homestay placement, and guardianship of Korean students aged from 13~18 who come over here to study at private schools in Boston area.

Job Title:
International Student Advisor

Job Overview:
Provides customer and student oriented service through professional knowledge of school information and thorough handling of any documentations and procedures. Works and communicates closely and diligently with Boston Toynbee’s headquarter in Korea.

Responsibilities:
• Deal with F-1 student applications for school admission
• As a general information resource, provide BTI’s current students with their requested information, and any necessary resources
• Establish liaisons with schools so that BTI can act as students’ official guardian by providing students’ transcripts with progressive report regularly, and give quick responses to parents and students’ requests related to school.
• Communicate closely and consistently with staff in BTI’s Korean headquarter who send students to Boston and take care of the students’ parents in Korea, and respond their requests in timely manner, or promptly sometimes via phone, e-mail, or fax. (Staff in Korea have an adequate English proficiency.)

Qualification:
• Bachelors degree in any major
• Effective written and verbal communication skills as a student counselor and to deal with schools
• Ability to collaborate with other staff
• Ability to speak to groups of students and staff
• Computer proficiency – Word and excel mainly
• Understanding culture differences and language barriers.
